The Media Center has the task of promoting and supporting the use of digital media in particular for research, teaching and continuing education. All departments, members and affiliates of the RPTU as well as students can commission the media center. The media center then assumes the following tasks:

The Media Center includes the following work units at the RPTU in Landau:

Service

• Planning, provision and further development of the media technology infrastructure in the teaching rooms at the RPTU in Landau and the external offices
• Consultation on media technology purchases for institutes and work units of the university
• Printing services for members of the university in the context of research and teaching
• Photographic documentation of university events
• Rental of media technology equipment (e.g. audio recorders, cameras, projectors)

Education and Training

• Courses for the bachelor's and master's degree programs (especially in the areas of media pedagogy, practical media work, media production, use of audiovisual media)
• Training courses for university staff

Research

• Participation in interdisciplinary research projects, especially in the areas of media literacy education and media pedagogy, with the goal of raising the profile of the RPTU in Landau in this field
